Source code
The app's code is under AGPL-3.0. We hand it over on request to anyone who has Tysha.
How to ask
Write to tysha@qbdp.online and include the build number - it is in Settings under the Version line, and tapping it copies the number together with the commit. We send the code of exactly the build you are running, within seven days, free of charge. We will not ask who you are or why: the licence gives you the right to the code, not our permission.
Why not a public repository
The licence requires us to give the code to whoever uses the program - and that is what we do. We deliberately keep no permanent public mirror: it is the easiest thing to turn into a copy that is called Tysha, looks like Tysha, and talks to someone else's server. Anyone who needs the code gets it by email, and it is the same code in full.
What the archive does not contain
Our signing keys, certificates, the relay secret and the addresses of production machines: those are access to our machine, not part of the program. The server code is not there either - it does not link libsignal, AGPL does not cover it, and it stays closed. Instead of it we deploy Tysha on your own server if you ask.
